Bose-Einstein correlations in e + e ! W + W events

Measurements are presented on correlations between pairs of particles from dieren t W’s in the fully hadronic decay channel e + e ! W + W ! q1 q2q3 q4. The hadronic parts of the semi-leptonic channels e + e ! W + W ! q q‘ are used to construct a reference sample. A model independent analysis is made with two independent approaches. Both analyses lead to results which are compatible with the presence of inter-W correlations with a level of signicance of more than two sigma.
