Overtone spectroscopy analysis of interactions between atomic groups of cellulose and plasticizers

Fundamental and overtone frequencies were measured and anharmonicity parameters were calculated of the stretching vibrations of atomic groups for nitrocellulose, di-n-butyl phthalate, N,N'-diethyl-N,N'-diphenylurea, and their solutions. The anharmonicity parameters of groups under study change in solution, depending on the nature of low-molecular-mass component. This can be used to characterize intermolecular interactions in solutions.
