Method for preparing magnetorheological fluid based on iron-based alloy micro-wire

2016
The invention relates to a method for preparing magnetorheological fluid based on an iron-based alloy micro-wire, and belongs to the technical field of preparation of intelligent materials. The method comprises the following specific steps: spraying the iron-based alloy micro-wire in an oriented magnetic field through a melt-spinning method; cutting the iron-based alloy micro-wire, soaking the cut iron-based alloy micro-wire in a silane coupling agent, heating and stirring for different time at an appropriate temperature, modifying the surface, and drying the separated iron-based alloy micro-wire; putting the dried iron-based alloy micro-wire into a ball milling tank, adding a proper amount of silane coupling agent, performing high-energy ball milling smashing with hardened steel balls, and performing vacuum drying; adding a thixotropic agent and performing high-speed stirring and activation by taking the iron-based alloy micro-wire obtained by ball milling smashing as a magnetic suspension phase and taking methyl silicone oil as a base solution to prepare magnetorheological fluid of different mixture ratios. The magnetorheological fluid prepared through the method has the advantages of high stability, high yield strength and wide application field.
