Flinders Island Aboriginal Assoc. Inc.: Health Work on Flinders Island

The Flinders Island Aboriginal Association Inc. funded by the Department of Aboriginal Affairs, was set up in November 1974 to meet the needs and desires of the Aboriginal families living on the island. The association provides full referral service for community problems and concerns for social welfare benefits, legal aid, education and sport and is in constant touch with the State and Federal Government Departments, Local Government and Aboriginal agencies.
