Studies of EMF in TlInSe2 crystals with the simultaneous action of solar radiation and sound waves

The presence of a novel acoustophotovoltaic effect is experimentally discovered for the first time. It consists in the appearance of a sound-controlled electromotive force in a direction of the propagation of longitudinal acoustic waves along the [001] axis of the TlInse 2 crystal due to entraining by them of photocarriers arising under the action of solar radiation.
