PS-022 ORTODONTİK TEDAVİ SONRASI ANTERİOR DİŞLERİN ESTETİK REHABİLİTASYONU: OLGU SUNUMU: Anterior Diastemaların Estetik Tedavisi

Aim: Multidisciplinary approach is often required in dentistry to obtain ideal dental aesthetic appearance. Sometimes after correct positioning of the teeth on dental arc with ortodontic treatment, intended approximal contact between teeth could not provide. Size discrepancies among the teeth and presence of conical shaped teeth give rise to diastemas after orthodontic treatment. Direct composite restorations are conservative and low-cost treatment option for the shape correction of the teeth and closure of diastemas. In this case report, restorative treatments of upper maxillary teeth that performed after orthodontic treatment is presented. Methodology: A 38-year-old female patient referred to our clinic for the shape correction of the maxillary anterior teeth after orthodontic treatment. After examination patients complaints about the color and shape of the teeth were determined. After explaining the treatment options to the patient, home-type teeth whitening and build-up of the teeth with composite resin were decided with the advantages of being conservative, aesthetics and ease of application. Whitening trays were prepared on the cast models obtained from the impressions of the patient. Whitening gel (Opalescence PF, Ultradent Products) was used 2-weeks and waited for 2-weeks before the restorations. After the color selection and isolation, enamel surfaces were etched selectively and adhesive system was applied (Single Bond Universal, 3M ESPE). A resin composite (Estelite Sigma Quick, Tokuyama Dental) was applied with incremental technique and polymerized. Restorations were finished and polished with fine diamond burs and Sof-lex discs (Sof-lex, 3M ESPE).   Discussion: The patient was quite satisfied after the restorative procedures. At 6-month follow-up restorations were excellent regarding aesthetic and function.   Conclusion: Use of teeth whitening procedures is useful for the treatment of teeth discolorations. Composite resin restoration is a conservative, fast, easy and low-cost treatment option for the correction of shape and size discrepancies.
