A STUDY ON PROBLEMS FACED BY CUSTOMERS WHILE AVAILING GREEN BANKING SERVICES IN SELECTED PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS IN SIVAGANGAI DISTRICT

E-banking means any user with a personal computer and a browser can get connected to his bank’s website to perform any of thevirtual banking functions. The concept of green banking emerged in 2009 in Mt. Dora, Florida, United states. In India the firstgreen bank is the State Bank of India(SBI), India’s largest commercial bank, which took initiative in setting high sustainabilitystandards and completed the first step in “green banking” with shri O.P. Bhatt, chairman, SBI Inaugurate the bank’s first windfarm project in Coimbatore. Both primary and secondary have been used for the study. The primary data has been collected fromselected public sector banks in Karaikudi and Devakottai taluk. The Multi stage sampling method has been used for the study.Tools used for the study to analysis the Cross tabulation, Chi-square, Anova, Correlation and Multiple Regression. Therefore, thispaper mainly focuses on problems faced by the customers while availing green banking services
