Marie-France Brière, Barbara Claus : Blancs

2000
Intended as a complement to an exhibition presented at Dazibao, this book brings together photographs by two women who have chosen to explore the repetition of family gestures and myths. Briere and Claus’ images (which are accompanied by a poem by Beharry) use blur as a means of evoking memory while placing emphasis on touch and the gaze. Text in French and English. Brief biographical notes.
