Cold cathode field emission display

2002
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold-cathode field electron emission display device having a structure and constitution in which electrons emitted from an electron emission part are enabled to surely collide with a desired area of an opposed phosphor area. SOLUTION: In a cathode panel for the display device, a cathode electrode 11 is structured of a cathode electrode-branch wiring 11B and a cathode electrode extension part 11C, while a gate electrode 13 is structured of a gate electrode-branch wiring 13B and a gate electrode extension part 13C, the gate electrode extension part 13C is positioned above the cathode electrode extension part 11C without existence of the gate electrode-branch wiring 13B, the gate electrode extension part 13C does not exist above the cathode electrode-branch wiring 11B, the cathode electrode extension part 11C is positioned below the gate electrode extension part 13C without existence of the cathode electrode-branch wiring 11B, the cathode electrode extension part 11C is positioned below a second opening 18, and a notched part or a cutoff part 11D is provided at least either the cathode electrode-branch wiring 11B or the gate electrode-branch wiring 13B.
