Mössbauer study of the distribution and correlation of parameters of hyperfine interactions

1990
A new interpretations is made of Mossbauer spectroscopy results, based on estimated distribution functions of combined hyperfine interactions which determine the parameters of individual peaks of experimental spectra. From the combination of six calculated variances, the mean and variance of the distributions of all the hyperfine interaction parameters are determined, as well as the correlation moments between them. The procedure is used to process results of Mossbauer investigations of atomically disordered Fe 1-x Pd x alloys (0•45x0•75
