Synthesis and structure of linear poly[N-(2-butoxycarbonyl) ethyl ethylenimine] complexes with copper(II) chloride

1993
A procedure for the modification of linear and branched poly(ethylenimines) using acrylates was developed. Complexes of copper(II) chloride with N-substituted polyamines of the composition N:Cu=2 and 4 were synthesized and their structure was studied using FTIR spectroscopy. It was shown that the coordination sphere of the metal ion involves all the nitrogen atoms of the main chain, approximately half of the carbonyl groups of the substituents at the nitrogen atom, and water molecules
