Measures of Central Tendency

2018
The quantitative data collected by statistical techniques, if classified and put in the form of frequency distribution, gives prominence to its structure. But the description and comparison of frequency distributions are major activities in “biostatistics.” It is therefore necessary to further condense the frequency distribution to small figures which could reveal its characteristics. There are certain measures which indicate the middle of the distribution. These are known as “centering constants” or “measures of central tendency.”
