Method for packaging seafood raw in a food product container that can be sealed, comprising at least the following steps: - filling a first portion of said container with at least one product Sea crude, - filling a free volume of said container, ie, a portion of said container not filled with foodstuffs, with a gas mixture, - sealing said container, and - heat sterilized said sealed container, wherein said gas mixture introduced in the free volume it consists of argon and carbon dioxide with argon percentage equal to at least 30% by volume and with the percentage of carbon dioxide equal to the complementary percentage to 100%.
