Electric-dipole, quadrupole, and magnetic-dipole susceptibilities and shielding factors for closed-shell ions of the He, Ne, Ar, Ni (Cu+), Kr, Pb, and Xe isoelectronic sequences

Abstract Theoretical values of electric and magnetic susceptibilities ( α 1 , α 2 , χ 1 ) and shielding factors ( γ 1 , γ 2 , σ 1 ) calculated in the relativistic random-phase approximation are presented in tabular form for ions with closed 1 s , 2 p , 3 p , 3 d , 4 p , 4 d , and 5 p shells. The table includes all ions in these sequences with nuclear charge up to Z = 56 and a representative selection of ions with 56 Z ⩽ 92.
