In the title compound, (E,Z)-tetramethyl 3,8-cyclotetradecadiene-1,1,6,6-tetracarboxylate, the (E) and (Z) double-bond planes form a dihedral angle of 96.4 (3) o and their centers lie 4.429 (5) A apart. The (E) C=C bond distance is 1.292 (5) A, and the (Z) C=C bond distance is 1.320 (6) A
