Incidental Detection of Impalpable Testicular Neoplasm by

1986
High-resolution sonography is an effective technique for demonstrating clinically nonpalpable testicular tumors. However, the patients reported to date in the literature all presented initially with large mediastinal, retroperitoneal, and/or supraclavicular nodal metastases, in the case of primary germ cell tumors [1 -3], or with gynecomastia, in the case of interstitial cell tumor of the testis [4, 5]. Their testicular tumors were found in a directed search for the primary tumor. This report documents a case of clinically unsuspected and nonpalpable testicular neoplasm discovered during routine scrotal sonography and its surgical management.
