[An ecological study of mortality differentials in Budapest 1980-1983]

Mortality differentials in Budapest Hungary during the period 1980-1983 are analyzed. Significant differences in life expectancy among districts of the city are noted ranging up to five years for males. "By causes of deaths the greatest mortality differences can be observed...[in] mortality caused by cirrhosis of the liver originating from alcohol suicide cerebral haemorrhage malignant neoplasm of the stomach and violence."
