The screening, prevention and control of stroke: one national healthcare key project.

Stroke is a group of acute cerebrovascular diseases with high incidence,morbidity,mortality and relapse rate.Its prevalence and hazardness in China are very serious.This paper has analysed the reasons of high prevalence and the main problems of stroke prevention and control in China,discussed the necessity and urgency of carrying out the stroke screening,preventing and control project,and proposed strategies,measures and main target.
