Seat system (10) comprising - a vehicle seat (12) having a seat cushion (16, 254) and a seat back cushion (14), one of which is vented at least, each ventilated component having an air-permeable cover to the passenger contact surfaces of the vehicle seat (12); - an insert (22, 70, 114, 202) which is arranged under the cover of each ventilated component and a spacing material (116, 278) which is within the insert (22, 70, 114, 202) creates a hollow space ; and - an air moving means (100, 260) in fluid communication with the hollow space of the spacer sub-layer (80), said air moving means (100, 260) in an opening of either the seat cushion (16, 254) or of the backrest cushion (14) is received, - wherein said air moving means (100) is attached to the insert (114) is attached by a flange (108) disposed between a front or rear layer (110) of the insert (114) and the spacer material (116, 276).
