Human Personality Prediction through Handwriting Analysis

Handwriting Analysis or Graphology is a study of handwriting that predicts the personality of an individual through the strokes and patterns. Handwriting reveals traits like emotional stability, communication, modesty, social isolation, lack of discipline, mental energy, harmony and many others including qualities such as leadership and confidence. Graphologists often use a piece of handwriting to examine a person’s traits to predict the personality. Although human involvement in analyzing the handwriting has been effective, it is costly and time consuming. Hence, the personality traits of an individual is predicted automatically with the aid of a computer by developing an application without the human interference. In this paper a method has been proposed to predict the personality of a person to analyze the qualities in an individual’s handwriting from the features such as base angle, the pen pressure, top margin, letter size, line spacing, word spacing and slantangle.
