Assembly consisting of a master cylinder and a reservoir

An arrangement consists of a master cylinder (1) and a container (2) fastened together in such a manner that the installation, which is used principally in hydraulic braking systems in motor vehicles, can be filled under pressure without the container (2) becoming detached from the master cylinder (1). All components can be manufactured simply. To this end, the master cylinder (1) has a projection (11) which extends upward, i.e., in the direction of the container (2), and which has a borehole (15), parallel to the base of the container (2) and perpendicular to the axis of the master cylinder, for receiving a fastening element (14; 18; 19). Developments concern lugs (12, 13) on the container (2), which partly surround the projection (11), and the fastening element, which is designed as a pin (14) or as a locking clip (18, 19).
