Determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons(PAHs) in Plastic Food Packaging

The simulation experiments were carried out to test PAHs in plastic food packaging,in which polyethylene terephthalate(PET) and polycarbonate(PC) were blended with recycled plastic as the simulants.PAHs accompanying the accumulation and enlargement in the simulants can be determined by GC-FID,while there is no PAHs can be determined in PET and PC.The test results showed that when the simulants blended with recycled polyvinyl chloride(PVC),there are more complex injurants in the samples,such as naphthalene,acenaphthylene,acenaphthene and other PAHs with 2 to 3 rings.
