Dynamic Load Sharing between Two Parallel DC-DC Converters for Grid Connected system

2017
A Micro grid is a small scale power grid that can operate independently or in conjunction with main electric grid. For efficient operation of micro grid it is essential to have a control strategy which involves dc-dc converters. The dc-dc converter input source can any dc source such as photo voltaic cells ,fuel cells etc.Sharing of the load among the converters is a serious problem . There are basically 2 kinds of algorithms for sharing load - systems using communication and system using droop characteristics(with out communication). In this paper 2 dc-dc converters connected in parallel with the purpose of load sharing by applying droop method is considered. Drooping characteristics in  converters results in radical voltage imbalance on dc bus with varying loads. To combat this complication voltage on dc bus is made constant by regulating the voltage axis intercept of droop characteristics and extends to application of micro grid output, which involves a control system requires for grid synchronization between micro grid and main grid using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the outputs were shown.
