Toolkit for parton process data storage and manipulation

Abstract We propose new format for a text file to store Monte-Carlo events for collision processes at partonic level. This format allows transferring necessary information from the matrix element to further simulation stages, e.g., theoretical details of the calculations at parton level to showering, or applied kinematical cuts. The format proposed corresponds to the so-called Les Houches standard for Fortran common blocks. The C and Fortran read–write routines are created. These routines have been incorporated in the CompHEP package for interfacing the PYTHIA generator. A toolkit is under development for manipulations with partonic event files.
