2017
Background The processes of oil and gas production are often accompanied by the undesirable formation of deposits of inorganic salts in the bottomhole, on the walls of the underground well equipment, in the onshore communications of the oil and gas collection and treatment system. To prevent the formation of deposits of inorganic salts in the wells, chemical methods of inhibitor protection for oilfield equipment surface are used. In the oil field the most widely used method is the periodic treatment of the bottomhole with an aqueous solution of the scale inhibitor. Aims and Objectives The aim of this article is to study the effectiveness of the scale inhibitor application to improve the fire safety of pipelines. To achieve the aim, the following tasks were set: - analysis of inhibitors used to protect reservoirs and pipelines from scaling; - laboratory studies for determination the degree of protection of the pipeline metal from scaling. Conclusion Based on the results of laboratory tests, a high efficiency of scale inhibitor as a means of protecting pipelines was revealed.
