The invention discloses a modular surgical instrument driving device comprising a mounting bracket, a plurality of sets of power sources used for providing driving force to surgical instruments, a plurality of sets of transmission components used for transmitting the driving force and a clutch device used for switching the joint state of the surgical instruments and the transmission components. The power sources are corresponding to the transmission components. The power sources, the transmission components, the clutch device and the mounting bracket are encapsulated into a standard module, so that quick mounting and dismounting of the surgical instruments is realized, the driving device is kept relatively independent on other component systems of a surgical robot and is compatible with linkage transmission type surgical instruments and wire transmission type surgical instruments and wide in application range, and driving types of the surgical instruments are widened.
