Stress corrosion cracking simulation

1997
A practical model for the mathematical simulation of environmentally enhanced subcritical crack growth should be suitable for a variety of alloys and environments and, over a range of alloy strength levels, temperatures and environmental parameters, should predict , the stage 1/stage 2 transition point and growth rates in stage 1 and stage 2 as functions of stress intensity. This paper presents the framework of a practical model for some ferrous alloys in aqueous solutions.
