Silicon thin film solar cell

The invention provides a silicon thin film solar cell. The silicon thin film solar cell comprises a substrate, at least a semiconductor layer, a transparent conductive layer and a metal layer; each semiconductor layer comprises at least an N type layer, at least an I type layer and at least a P type layer which are arranged in sequence, wherein at least one N type layer is a wide-band-gap N type layer; and the energy bandwidth of the material for forming the wide-band-gap N type layer is greater than that of a material for forming the I type layer. The silicon thin film solar cell adopts the wide-band-gap N type layer, so that the open-circuit voltage can be improved, the fill factor can be improved, and the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the silicon thin film solar cell can be further improved.
