Closure damping arrangement

2011
A photographic circulation closure includes a base plate, a rotating ring, a plurality of shutter blades which are pivotally connected to the base plate and, in response to a rotation of the ring between an open position and a closed position are movable, and an actuator assembly, which is connected to the base plate wherein the actuating assembly includes a drive arm that is operable for selectively rotating the ring. The exemplary photographic rotary disc shutter further comprises a buffer arrangement which contains at least one elastic member which is arranged immovably with respect to the base plate. The drive arm impinges on the elastic member when the plurality of shutter blades in the open and closed positions are, and the drive arm is isolated from contact with the elastic element, when said plurality of shutter blades between the open and closed positions. Furthermore, the exemplary photographic circulation closure includes a damper which is arranged with respect to the base plate immobile so that at least one closure plate of the plurality of shutter blades in the open position incident on the damper and is in the closed position isolated from contact with the damper.
