The post-breeding passage of Garden Warblers Sylvia borin at Grignan (in the department of Drome); stop-over and biometrics. Garden Warblers caught near Grignan (Drome, southern France) have a median capture date of 10 September for first year birds, 3 September for adults. Mean body weight increases from August to October. Many birds (31%) would be capable of crossing the Mediterranean without stopping. All Garden Warblers showed fidelity to the stop-over site. One adult was caught with entirely fresh plumage.
