Concomitant Fibromyalgia in Rheumatic Diseases

2021
It is estimated that fibromyalgia is present in up to 30% of patients with rheumatic diseases. A North American database of approximately 6000 patients identified a 21% prevalence of fibromyalgia in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and osteoarthritis. Similar rates have been described in spondyloarthritis (SpA), including psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and other connective tissue diseases.
