Use of $sup 197$Hg for mass inventory of chlorine cells
1973
A procedure is describcd for the mass determination of mercury in electrolytie cells used for the production of chlorine. A standard isotope dilution test is used whereby the background of the mercury in each cell is determined, an aliquot of /sup 197/Hg added, thorough mixing allowed, and samples then counted to determine the mass in each cell. Special techniques are described to obtain the desired accuracy. (AT)
