This article examines Mexico's Population and Housing Census as a discourse and fragment of social memory in Mexico that includes or excludes social perspectives and demands and whose construction and evolution is analyzed from the conceptualization of space geographic. The analysis aims to encourage discussion in the analysis of statistical information, in particular, 1792, 1990 and 2020 from a non-neutral perspective that provides elements to make visible the importance of having, maintaining or, where appropriate, incorporating categories and themes into the Population Census in Mexico that allow or allow in the present and future to establish comparisons in order to allow to evaluate the advancement or setback - direct or indirect - of or for the exercise of human rights.
