The causes of reoperation for primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) were analised. Of the 185 operated persons, whose long-term results were studied, persistent primary hyperparathyroidism developed in 7, 10 diseased parathyroid glands, which are the cause of PHPT were not deleted. Repeated operations were performed in 9 patients. The cause of persistent primary hyperparathyroidism was a lack of transaction volume at hyperplasia of parathyroid glands, the cause of PHPT that has not been verified by the first operation -mistaken for modified parathyroid glands fat or lymph nodes.
