The synthesis and study of co-oligomers with peroxide functionality☆

Alkene-alkyne peroxide monomers were copolymerized with diene and vinyl monomers to form peroxide functional copolymers of butadiene, butadiene-styrene, and butadiene-nitrile having reactive peroxide groups in the branches of the macromolecules. Optimum regulator concentrations were found during the synthesis of the peroxy-oligomers for the molecular weight control of the copolymers, and the consumption of the regulator during the copolymerization was studied.
