Differential pulse polarography (DPP) was used to study the complexation of cadmium by cysteine (CySH) at pH = 7.8 and l = 0.7 M (KNO3), as well as to determine the stability constants of the equilibria Cd2+ + CyS− ⇄ Cd(CyS)+ and Cd(CyS)+ + CyS− ⇄ Cd(CyS)2.
