An analytical approach to improve stability and to enhance active & reactive power profile of a grid network mainly under fault condition

2017
The initiation of fault in the Power System introduces a high degree of transient behaviour leading to the flow of a high value of current causing damage to the entire system. Several techniques has been developed for limiting the high fault current within a very short span of time but it's a continuous & ongoing research for the enthusiastic power system researchers to obtain optimum performance of the grid network by connecting certain dynamic components in the network. The modeling of the proposed grid network has been done using MATLAB/Simulink simulation software and its analysis has been evaluated under fault condition. This paper presents an analytical approach to improve stability and to enhance active & reactive power profile of grid network mainly under fault condition. The system incorporates connection of FACTS device to the network. The use of FACTS device improves the network parameters and ensures the reliability of power flow after a huge transient in the power system. A process flow model is also presented to explain the operational performance of the proposed network.
