PURPOSE: A bidirectional driving circuit of a flat panel display device and a driving method thereof are provided to drive the flat panel display device to both directions without an additional input pin by operating a shift register and a level shifter to both directions. CONSTITUTION: A bidirectional driving circuit of a flat panel display device includes plurality of blocks. Each block includes a first controller, a second controller, a third controller, and a shift register. The first controller(21) is used for charging one clock signal of four clock signals, a start pulse according to the second node, and an output signal of a previous block to the first node. The second controller(22) is used for controlling the second node according to the start pulse, an output signal of the previous block, an output signal of the next block, and one clock signal of four clock signals. The third controller(23) is used for charging the start pulse or the output signal of the next block to the first node and controlling the second node. The shift register(24) is used for outputting one clock signal of four clock signals as a shift pulse according to the first node and the second node. In addition, a level shifter is used for shifting the levels of the shifted pulses of the shift registers of each block.
