MODULE OF A WEB-BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CHOOSING A HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE IN A PATIENT WITH WORSENING MODALITIES

2017
Introduction: Modalities in homeopathy are part of the pillars for choosing a homeopathic medicine in a therapeutically problematic patient. The Physician Matter contains an information set for medications with worsening of the disease process, which can be systematized into an electronic database. The aim of the present work is to create a module for a web-based “Homeopathic assistant” - an information system for choosing a homeopathic medicine in a problem patient with worsening modalities. Material and methods. We used a homeopathic drug reference book „From Symptom to Drug and Drug to Symptom “ (Peychev L., Boyadzhian H., 2011) for analysis of data related to worsening modalities. To build the database module for a web-based homeopathic assistant, we used the SQL language and for its application in the system – ORACLE APEX.Results. As a result of the analysis of the homeopathic guide information 12 groups of modalities of deterioration occurred. Deterioration from: heat – 28 medications, cold – 47; moisture – 18; gender-related impairments – 13 medications; at rest – 15; emotions – 14 drugs; food or meals – 19; noise – 8; light or darkness – 5 drugs; contact and touch – 19; tobacco smoke and other odors – 4 medications; worsening for another reason – 20 medications. While constructing database relays, we have placed the description of each of the groups of medications with worsening modalities. The relational database structure has upgraded the SQL queries we make to the search engine. Conclusions. The created module using worsening modalities facilitates the rational choice of homeopathic medicine in the daily practice of homeopathic physicians.
