Functional properties of a serine protease inhibitor from cotton seeds

It has been shown that dormant cotton seeds contain proteins capable of inhibiting the activity of the proteolytic enzymes of the pathogenVerticillium dahliae Kleb. An immunochemical method of evaluating the resistance of a cotton plant to this fungus has been developed.
