A Novel Peptidyl Plant Growth Regulator-phytosulfokine:Properties and Functions

Phytosulfokine,a sulfated pendapeptide widely existed in plant kingdom,has shown mutiple biological activities besides proliferation of single cells.The discovery of phytosulfokine,the relationship between structure and function,biological activites,biosynthesis and reception,as well as cross-talk with plant non peptide hormones were summarized,and the methods for further investigation and application prospect of phytosulfokine were also discussed.Phytosulfokine would be widely used in enhancing transformation of plant cells,stimulating functional metabolites as well as senescence delaying of plants.
