Research on Double Orthogonal Multi-wavelet Transform Based Blind Equalizer

Aiming at the slow convergence of Constant Modulus Algorithm based Decision Feedback blind Equalizer(CMA-DFE), a new Double orthogonal Multi-Wavelet Transform based Constant Modulus Algorithm Decision Feedback blind Equalizer(DMWT- CMA-DFE) is proposed on the basis of analyzing on orthogonal Multi-Wavelet Transform based Constant Modulus Algorithm Decision Feedback blind Equalizer(MWT-CMA-DFE). In the proposed equalizer, the orthogonal multi-wavelet transform is placed not only in the front of the forward filter but also in the front of the feedback filter to improve the convergence rate. Simulation tests with underwater acoustic channel have indicated that the proposed equalizer has the faster convergence rate and the smaller residual mean square error compared with the CMA-DFE and MWT-CMA-DFE.
