The Detection of Spatial Pattern in Plant Populations

A technique for the detection of non-randomness in the spatial pattern of plants is described. The technique, which utilizes the properties of Voronoi polygons under different spatial arrangements, overcomes an error inherent in a related method. Graphs and tables are provided to enable the detection of regular and clumped departures from random spatial patterns.
