Explorando colegios invisibles en la producción sobre propiedad intelectual en artículos de Web of Science.

An exploratory study case is presented about invisible colleges in the production about intellectual property in a period from 1994 to 2016. Articles were extracted from Web of Science. This study showed cohesion levels in this field and depict emerging issues in the global production with higher visibility and impact about IP. Co-citation analysis was employed. A threshold of 5 references shared was established to identify clusters of articles. The VOS modularity algorithm allowed built sets of articles representing thematic groups. Shared references and incidence of authors with higher occurrences in references in those groups allowed probing the cohesion in this field of research. It was possible to identify 10 main themes that can be usefully as starting points to derive more comprehensive studies about IP.
