Negative electron conductivity in gases and semiconductors

The most part of the present paper is devoted to the effect of the negative electron conductivity in low temperature plasma. The general conditions, which are necessary for the existence of negative electron conductivity, are discussed and the review of the physical conditions under which this effect was studied is done. Finally, the similar effect in semiconductors is also discussed.
