Studies on surface changes in mammalian spermatozoa during epididymal transit, as revealed by cytochemical technics or lectin-binding, has mainly involved domestic and laboratory animals (1–8). As an extension of these investigations a systematic study was made on a primate, Macaca fascicularis.
