Этнический фактор в контексте безопасности границы между Россией и Казахстаном

The paper focuses on the importance that the ethnic factor has in the light of the issues closely related to the security of Russia-Kazakhstan border. Among the issues considered are drugs trafficking, uncontrolled migration, ethno-social conflicts, and territorial claims. The author comes to the conclusion that the ethnic factor is manifested to some extent in all of these issues, but in most cases it has a subjective rather than objective significance.
