Radiculography using the digital subtraction technic

: In patients with symptomatic lumbar disc disease, lumbar myelography was performed in combination with the digital subtraction technique. Contrast medium was injected during the digital subtraction procedure, and the following part of the examination was treated conventionally. In all patients the subtracted images were superior for documentation purposes and also for evaluation of the upper lumbar spine. If the contrast medium was injected epidurally, the artifact could be suppressed by the selection of a suitable mask.
