Description Of Skills In Reading Measurement Results By Class VII Students As A Result Of Distance Learning During The Covid-19 Pandemic At SMPN 18 Makassar

Abstract . This study aims to describe the reading skills of the measurement results of basic measuring instruments in science subjects for class VII SMPN 18 Makassar who have participated in the online science learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The basic measuring instruments include a ruler, caliper, micrometer, 311g ohaus cent-o-gram balance, stopwatch and thermometer. This research is a descriptive study using a test instrument that is distributed online via the Google form application. The research subjects were 64 students of grade 7 SMPN 18 Makassar. The results showed that: The skills of students in reading the measurement results of the ruler were 2.34% very good, 44.53% good; 3.91% less; and 49.22% very less. Caliper were 3.1% Very Good, 7.8% less and 89.1% very less. Micrometer was 14.1% very good; 3.1% less and 82.8% very less. 311g capacity ohaus cent-o-gram balance was 20.3% very good, 20.3% less and 59.4% very less. Stopwatch was 21.9% very good, 12.5% less and 65.6% very less. Thermometer was 34.4% very good, 9.4% good, 56.3 % very less.
