The Characteristics Analysis of Controllable Reactor of Transformer Type

In order to realize the accurate control of the reactor in the smart grid, the research on the characteristics of the reactor is essential. In this paper, a field-circuit coupled multi-physics joint simulation method is adopted to analyze the working characteristics of controllable reactor of transformer type(CRT). The software ANSYS Mawell is used to establish the two-dimensional model of three-phase CRT, and Maxwell is combined with Simplorer to build a complete circuit in the simulation platform. The simulation results show that CRT meets the requirement of continuous and smooth output of inductive reactive power, and the joint simulation method makes up for the shortcomings of ignoring their own structure and material settings in the simulation software Matlab/simulink or PSCAD, the model is more similar to the real reactor, the working state of CRT is simulated more accurately. The method of joint simulation is feasible and reliable, which can provide more effective reference for engineering application and the design of reactor.
